2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

All people who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in their lives are not like any other persons in the world. They are a new creation before God – people that are forgiven and cleansed of their sins. Their sins are forgotten and God considers them holy and righteous. Their sinful nature and old way of life is forgotten before God and God treats and considers them as though they had never ever sinned in their lives.

 

2 Corinthians 5:21 “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”  All people that are born again are the righteousness of God.

 

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 “You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.”

Born again Christians are the letters of God to be read by all other people. They carry content of God in this world. Their lives should depict the way God would like human beings to behave in this world. Anybody that looks at born again Christians should read the goodness, holiness and righteousness of God. People should read godliness in any Christian’s life. People have never met God physically; they should see Him in any Christian’s life.

Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

​

Jesus defines a Christian, how they should appear in the world – they are the light. Christians illuminate the dark world and expel darkness. World without Christianity is full of darkness – no one can see anything good; life is unbearable Christianity. Born again Christians add value to the sinful dirty dark world.

 

Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

 

Since Christians are the source of light in the world, Jesus Christ told them that they should be distinctive, clearly seen, and known, black and white, by all people. Their actions and day to day activities should point people towards God. Christians’ lives are meant to glorify God. People should be attracted to God when they see the lifestyles of Christians. Actions and activities in a Christian’s life should draw all other people to God.

2 Corinthians 5:20 “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”

Christians are representatives of Jesus Christ in the world. They speak and act on behalf of God in this world. Christians represent the kingdom of God in this world and work for Jesus Christ to reconcile people back to God. Christians preach to sinners and lead them to Jesus Christ because they have been given that mandate by God. Sinners cannot lead other sinners to Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior – this is a prerogative of Christians.

1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”

​

Christians are a very special people. That is why they have been give very heavy, senior, and godly titles – chosen generation, royal priesthood, holy nation, and God’s special people. Chosen generation – a generation chosen by God Himself; royal priesthood – they are kingly priests, conducting sacrifices to God (King of kings); holy nation – Christians are considered by God as holy (sinless) – though they are staying in their own sinful earthly nations, God isolates them, in His heavenly records, and calls them a holy nation. Therefore, they do not belong to the earthly sinful nations, but they belong to the heavenly holy nation.

Do you need to surrender your life to Christ, to be a new creation? If so, repeat the following as you mean it in your heart:

Lord Jesus, come into my life. Forgive my sins. I will leave for you forever. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name. Amen.

​

If you have prayed that prayer, believe your sins are forgiven and you are a new creation. Read the Bible and pray every day. Tell other people you are born again. Continue to live a righteous life every day.
