A CHRISTIAN ON TEACHING ON THE WORD OF GOD   TO GET THIS TEACHING ON VIDEO,

  • The word of God is the word in the Bible. The word of God is equal to God. In John 1:1, the Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Obeying God’s word is obeying God. One cannot obey God without obeying His word. Obeying God’s word is obeying Jesus Christ, because Jesus is the Word of God in human flesh. In John 1:14, the Bible says, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” Jesus came into this world as the Word of God in human flesh. He lived in this world as a perfect role model to human beings.

In Matthew 4:4, Jesus said to the devil “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Every human being is made up of physical man and spiritual man. The physical man feeds on the physical food. That is, physical man feeds on chicken, mutton, beef, rice, ugali, etc, so that the physical man can live and be healthy. If the physical man goes for a long time without the physical food, he suffers malnutrition, and finally death. The spiritual man is fed with the word of God. If the spiritual man lacks God’s word, he suffers spiritual malnutrition. If the spiritual man is denied God’s word for a long time, the spiritual man grows weak and finally dies. This is why Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

The entire word in the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the word of God. It is complete and has the full counsel of God. It carries the wisdom of God that is incomparable with the wisdom of man. No single scripture is useless; all scripture is immeasurably useful to all human beings, if read, meditated upon, and practiced daily. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). The word of God gives the right doctrine or belief, it gives the right and prompt reproof or rebuke from God to people sinking into sin; it provides the right and appropriate correction to errant people so that they can have truth; and it provides instructions or directions to people into the ways of righteousness. Therefore, any counsel or advice that is worth its salt can only be found in God’s word. Human traditions and cultures are not relevant for doctrine, reproof, correction, or instruction of people, if they are not based in the entire word of God.  Age and experience of a person cannot necessarily constitute the wisdom of God. A person can be old in terms of the chronological age, but have very little or no content of the word (wisdom) of God. Grey hair for the elderly can only signify God’s wisdom, if the elderly person is grounded in God’s word; reads it, meditates upon it day and night, and practices it every day. A grey haired (elderly) Christian (born again Christian), who practices God’s word, is not the same as an equally grey haired pagan. One can be sure of sound godly counsel from the former and very little, if any, from the latter. The Bible is the best and finest teacher, through the Holy Spirit, in the entire world.

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:17, “that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Reading the word of God makes somebody to be complete in terms of doctrine, rebuke, correction, and instructions in righteousness, and thoroughly equipped for every good work. A person can only be a guarantee of good works only if the person is grounded on God’s work. Any person exhibiting good works, if he is not founded on God’s word, can only do so temporarily. Reading and practicing God’s word is a guarantee of good works. People without God’s word can only fake good works for sometimes; though they may sound good now, they may change anytime to their normal evil works.

The word of God is unique and God uses it to do signs and wonders to human beings. In Hebrews 4:12, the Bible says, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Reading the Bible is not the same as reading a history, geography, science, etc. books. The word of God is living! The word of God has life in it; it is active and has ability and power to do work in the life of a human being. When the word of God is applied in faith, it is able to create, heal, and destroy the works of the devil; it is able to destroy demonic plans and restore the order of God in any situation. The word of God penetrates into the very inner self of a person (soul, spirit, joints and marrow) to bring and sustain God’s will and plan in the person. Reading the word of God makes the reader to have the right and godly thoughts and discards evil thoughts. Therefore, the word of God sanctifies a person for the use by God.

No one who can lead a godly and prosperous life without reading the Bible and practicing the word. True success in this world is only derived from God’s word. When God was giving Joshua leadership over the children of Israel, He told him, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8). Also Jesus said “… for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15: 5b).

Please reader, live the word, think the word, walk the word, speak the word, and do the word every day.
